Bessie is a seasoned digital marketing consultant with over 15 years of experience helping cross-border brands achieve success in global markets. Bessie spent 10 years at Google China and Google Hong Kong, where she held key positions as the Industry Head of Retail & Travel, and the Hong Kong Lead of Google Marketing Platform.

With a proven track record of driving growth and brand impact for her clients, Bessie is passionate about leveraging the latest trends and technologies to create impactful campaigns that deliver results. Her deep understanding of the ever-evolving digital landscape and global consumer behaviour enables her to create strategies that are both effective and innovative.

In 2017, Bessie founded HiNA Digital Marketing, a digital marketing agency that focuses on helping Greater China clients expand their business globally and international clients enter the Chinese market. HiNA started as a performance ads agency, but over time, it has evolved into a full-service digital marketing agency that offers a wide range of solutions to clients.

Since its founding in 2017, HiNA has successfully supported over 800 clients, including Tmall, OPPO, Farfetch, JobsDB, NBA Hong Kong, Anker, SeekAsia, Anker and etc. to advertise on Google, Facebook, TikTok, DV360, and other key digital media platforms.

Bessie's expertise and experience in digital marketing, coupled with HiNA's unique approach to strategic partnerships, make the agency an invaluable resource for clients looking to expand their business globally.

Frankie was born in the late 70’s, and witnessed the world transforming rapidly from analogue to digital. He has always been having an identity crisis of whether he belongs to the Gen-X or the Gen-Y.

He then went to study philosophy at the University of Hong Kong, hoping to find the answer. Sadly it didn’t help, his identity crisis only became worse.

However the worst is yet to come. He started his career as a Copywriter in 2000, since then he has worked in big international agencies like Grey, DDB, Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis and BBDO, as well as local boutique agencies. His clients vary from multi-billion entrepreneurs such as Mars, Mattel, McDonald’s, Unilever, Nestlé, Marriott, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and AXA, to local small businesses. During these years he has walked through the marketing 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0, from looking for USP to digging for CSV. It has been utterly confusing.

“You have to go through the worst, to get to the best.”

“Change” is only thing that is permanent, especially in a highly digital world. So Frankie changed his way of seeing marketing. Instead of clinging to the world of traditional marketing, he leaped and delved into the realm of digital marketing – he invested effort and time to be formally trained in this domain and earned himself a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing, with extensive knowledge in SEO, SEM, Mobile, Digital Display and Social Media Marketing.

Also as a Master graduate in Buddhist Studies, he embraces the Buddhist teaching of the middle way – that we can optimize the marketing goals by taking a route between Traditional and Digital Marketing, which he calls “Tradigital Marketing”.

Frankie is now Creative Strategist at Facebook.

For the past 21 years, Karrie has dedicated herself to brand communications. Her passion for developing global and local brands in Asia has led her to live and work in Asian cities with major communication networks.

Throughout her career, she has engaged in all facets of brand building, business strategy and integrated communications across a variety of platforms, working in categories ranging from luxury, lifestyle and retail to non-profit.

“Two heads are better than one” is her motto: Karrie’s creative entrepreneurial and local activation experiences have reinforced her belief that only truly collaborative teams can transform businesses. Karrie is right at home at SCMP, leading the Sales and Marketing Solutions Specialists units to embrace digital transformation, and spearheading sales and business development in response to evolving marketer needs in the region.

Karrie was named one of the winners at the 2020 Women to Watch, organised by Campaign Asia Pacific, which celebrates inspiring and exceptional female talents across marketing, media, technology and communications in Asia-Pacific.
